The Battle with Miniatures

Leather Aragorn

Finished Aragorns
Not sure of how to refer to this Aragorn, but I'm happier with this one than the Weathertop one, especially because of his face. I'm quite proud of how realistic the leather looks on his back, so heres a close up for your enjoyment. Also noted Aragorns one fingerless leather glove on his sword hand. When I was doing the hands I thought this was just a bit of flash on his fingers, but looking at it in BGIME I realised my error, but that all I had to do was chaos black the back of his hand. I was in Games Workshop with the kids for a few minutes this afternoon and there was someone on the tables who had some really nicely finished miniatures, but they hadnt based them. The guy in the shop was moaning about it, and saying that the next time they come in they should at least paint them green. I tend to agree, hypocritically, as I havent done it on these yet. Off to do that now.

I painted Games Workshop miniatures when I was a teenager, and have started painting them again since my son has become interested in them. After subscribing to Battle games in middle earth I thought I would try and blog my progress through trying to paint them all. This blog is just about miniatures, not about the rest of my life, I do other things!
