Heres the light box, took two and a half sheets of A3 featherboard and a bit of masking tape. I really just used 5 A4 sheets thinking about it. I used a cheap halogen bedside lamp for the lighting, which I pointed to the top of the box. I'll get better results with two of these lamps, but this is just an experiment.

Well - here they are - both based. I had a bit of a basing session, finishing the bases of models that were not even painted yet.
But I've had difficulty getting decent pictures of them of late, only taking pictures at night, but then I decided to make a light box out of some of the spare featherboard I had left over from my Bree houses.
I'm quite pleased with the results.

Not sure of how to refer to this Aragorn, but I'm happier with this one than the Weathertop one, especially because of his face. I'm quite proud of how realistic the leather looks on his back, so heres a close up for your enjoyment.
Also noted Aragorns one fingerless leather glove on his sword hand. When I was doing the hands I thought this was just a bit of flash on his fingers, but looking at it in BGIME I realised my error, but that all I had to do was chaos black the back of his hand.
I was in Games Workshop with the kids for a few minutes this afternoon and there was someone on the tables who had some really nicely finished miniatures, but they hadnt based them. The guy in the shop was moaning about it, and saying that the next time they come in they should at least paint them green. I tend to agree, hypocritically, as I havent done it on these yet.
Off to do that now.

After the guilt of my last entry I ended up with a free evening, so sat there listening to YourMacLife and painted both my aragorns. I think technically they should have been both painted differently, but when i had them both together it seemed silly not to use the paints I had mixed efficiently. Looking at this picture I see that there is a bit of fluf on his knee (thats not Arwen) so I'll have to have a go with some tweezers.
Happy with the look of this but not of his face.

One of my friends - you know who you are - asks me if I've done any painting every time I see him. Of course mostly the answer is always no.
Last night I was wondering when the nex issue of BGIME would arrive - looks like there are more supplier issues. But then I saw these two aragorns on the side. These are the ones I mentioned in a previous entry that I was going to try painting based on the new material in the last BGIME review I did. Not surprisingly the only thing that has gone on these miniatures since then is dust. Ho Hum.
Sorry about the picture, quality.
If I ever finish them I'll take better ones.
