As I suspected it comes in multiple castings - Four plus the base.  One of the castings contains two parts, the shield and the White Dwarfs head. After watching a demo game in Games Workshop I got the urge to paint my Slayer out of the Skull Pass set.  First problem was that I didn't have blazing Orange, which the paint guide suggested I should use for his hair.   Evenings Work. Stressed out today.  Had some news I was sort of suspecting but it annoyed me when it arrived, so after doing the things I needed to do I hid away from the TV and did some painting.   Closeups - Light box. Well here are the first two completed of my Army of the dead.  I've struggled with these, as there wasnt really any colour guides that I could find anywhere.  Originally uploaded by mafiu. Heres the light box, took two and a half sheets of A3 featherboard and a bit of masking tape.  I really just used 5 A4 sheets thinking about it.  I used a cheap halogen bedside lamp for the lighting, which I pointed to the top of the box. Not sure of how to refer to this Aragorn, but I'm happier with this one than the Weathertop one, especially because of his face.  I'm quite proud of how realistic the leather looks on his back, so heres a close up for your enjoyment.

After the guilt of my last entry I ended up with a free evening, so sat there listening to YourMacLife and painted both my aragorns.  I think technically they should have been both painted differently, but when i had them both together it seemed silly not to use the paints I had mixed efficiently. So me and Roo went on a crusade to buy some materials for houses, and were stunned to find no plasticard anywhere in Milton Keynes, and also that foam card costs a fortune. Picking up a metal miniature gives a nice, quality feel, but then picking up a plastic one is jsut not the same.  When the plastic space marines first came out they were supplied with bases that did not have a slot in them, so I used to glue a penny in them to get a bit more weight. Well, sort of nearly... I applied the ultramarine decals - but I dont like the way they dont lie flat and are shiney - I'll have to matt- varnish them I suppose.

This is the sum total result of all the painting stuff that I took with me on my recent holiday in scotland. I only got around to painting in the evening, and the light was pants. So in the end I only did Denethor (finished) and wormtougue (with no head).

Progress as of Saturday Night This is how it looked on Saturday night. As you can see I've based all of the painted models, everything is off the spues and undercoated. Spore mines finished (apart from one escapee that needs basing.) But now its 2 days later. All my gene stealers are finished, and I've even done the bases.  Originally uploaded by mafiu. Heres the finished Biovore, with sanded and inked base with some static grass. Looking at it now it's a bit dusty, that was due to sanding off the polyfillered base. But a brief brush with a big paint brush will clean that off.

Does a Biovore have eyes? Crumbs its all go now!  Did a bit of painting on my macragge set.  First I did the above, which was drybrush the arms boltgun metal, line the shoulder pads in shining gold and paint the belt bags a neutral brown (snakebite I think)  Next bit is the red eyes and other read highlights - but I cant find my blood red paint.

Well, spent so long fixing my blog posts that I thought flickr had been doing correctly that I now have no time to .....  No - I cant say that really.
As I said in my previous post, I already had a small toon of these guys, and now have some more from the front of Battle Games.

The shots dont really look as good as the figures do in real life, but I have only under and basecoated them.
